Siemens Digital Industries Software

Helping Siemens create customer demand by starting with the business problem, not the technology.

The situation

Siemens wanted to help its manufacturing customers understand where digitalisation could create the greatest business value first.

The opportunity was to move beyond individual technology conversations and hear from the wider organisation, uncovering needs across functions, involving people closest to the work, and giving leadership an evidence-based way to decide what mattered most.

At the same time, Siemens wanted to enable its partners to build broader, deeper relationships inside their customers and uncover new opportunities for delivery.

What we ran

01: AI Compass™

We configured AI Compass™ to interview people across the customer’s entire organisation.

Our AI agents captured the perspectives of management, operations, technical teams and people closest to the work, enabling Siemens to include everyone’s point of view, not simply the stakeholders already involved in technology conversations.

This instantly increased the contact surface area between Siemens, its partners and the customer, while turning what the organisation already knew into clear, evidence-backed opportunities for improvement.

02: Slid3rs™

The opportunities uncovered by AI Compass™ were brought back to the customer’s leadership team and prioritised against business value and delivery complexity.

Rather than Siemens telling customers what they should buy, customers created their own business value assessment.

They could see what mattered most, what could be addressed tactically, what required strategic investment and where technology could create the greatest value.

03: FlowRoom®

We brought customer leadership, Siemens and its partners together for a bespoke Slid3rs™ experience in the FlowRoom® at The O2 in London.

Together, they worked through the opportunities, challenged assumptions and resolved different perspectives in real time.

The process helped break down silos, align business and technology teams and create a shared, evidence-based view of the roadmap, de-risking what should happen next.

The outcome

Through its Market Development Funds, Siemens could gift genuine strategic value to its customers: organisation-wide clarity on where digital investment could deliver the greatest impact.

For the customer, it created clarity and a roadmap built around its own business priorities.

For Siemens, it created broader relationships, deeper customer insight and evidence-backed business cases for investment.

For Siemens partners, it increased the contact surface area within their customers and surfaced qualified opportunities that could progress into delivery.

Instead of starting with technology and searching for a use case, we started with the customer’s business and let the evidence identify where technology could create value.

The result: organisation-wide insight turned into clear, low-risk decisions Siemens customers could act on.
